Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and the operator of Rampeat (“Rampeat”, “we”, “us”).
Contact: hello@rampeat.com
Website: https://rampeat.com and https://rampeat.vercel.app
Rampeat is software for trade businesses in the United States, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. We sell to businesses, not to consumers buying for personal use.
This page is not legal advice. You should have a lawyer in your country review it before you rely on it in a dispute.
By creating an account or using Rampeat you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Rampeat is operated as a software service. We are not your accountant, tax agent, lawyer, or employer. Documents you generate (quotes, job cards, invoices, statements) are your documents, issued in your business name.
2. The service
Rampeat lets you create and manage job cards, quotes, invoices, statements, clients, products, team logins, and optional slip scanning (Ram Scan), including limited offline use on a phone.
Features depend on the plan you pay for (Solo, Crew, Shop). We may change, add, or remove features with notice where it is reasonable to do so.
Ram Scan and other AI tools can misread slips and invent figures. You must check every extraction before you use it in a job, quote, invoice, or tax file.
3. Accounts
You must be 18 or older and able to bind the business you name at signup.
You must give accurate country, company name, and contact details. You are responsible for every action taken with logins you issue (office, field, bookkeeper, Ram Scan).
One company account per paying subscriber. Extra seats are invited by you. You must remove people who leave.
We may suspend or close an account that is unpaid, abusive, unlawful, or that puts other customers at risk.
4. Plans, trial, and payment
Prices are published on /pricing in US dollars. They do not include taxes that you may owe in your country.
A 14-day trial applies where offered. After the trial, or after a paid period ends, the account becomes read-only until you pay: you may open, print, and export; you may not create new quotes, jobs, invoices, or scans.
Payment for Rampeat subscriptions is processed by NOWPayments (crypto). We do not store wallet keys or card numbers. Chargebacks, coin volatility, network fees, and incomplete payments are between you and the payment network. A payment that does not reach “finished” on our IPN is not a paid plan.
Subscriptions renew for the interval you chose (month or year) until cancelled. Annual plans are prepaid. We do not prorate unused time unless a law that applies to you says we must.
We may change prices on 30 days’ notice to the email on the account.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel by emailing hello@rampeat.com (or from Settings if that control exists). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
Refunds are not given for change of mind, unused seats, or unused scan volume, except where Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, or other non-excludable law requires otherwise.
After cancellation you have 30 days to export your data. After that we may delete it.
6. Your documents and tax
You set any tax label and rate on your company. Rampeat does not calculate US state or local sales tax, NZ GST returns, or AU BAS/GST returns for you.
You are responsible for: whether your quotes and invoices are valid in your jurisdiction; tax you charge your customers; tax you owe on Rampeat subscription fees; what you send to a bookkeeper or revenue authority.
A PDF that says quote or invoice is a tool output. It is not tax advice.
7. Acceptable use
You may not: break the law; upload malware; attack the service; scrape other tenants; resell Rampeat; spam; or use Ram Scan on documents you have no right to process.
Usage caps (seats, scans) on your plan are hard limits. We may throttle abuse.
8. Your data and our licence
You own the business data you put in Rampeat.
You grant us a limited licence to host, back up, and display that data so the product works (including PDFs and emails you trigger).
We do not sell your job or client lists.
9. Intellectual property
Rampeat software, mark, and wording are ours. You may not copy the product or remove brand marks from our marketing site. Your own logo and trading name stay yours.
10. Availability and AI
The service is provided as is. We aim for high uptime and keep backups. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free calculations, or correct OCR.
Offline mode only covers the job-card path described in the product. Quotes, invoices, billing, and statements need a network.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or tax penalties arising from use of Rampeat or from AI mistakes you did not check.
- We are not liable for payment-network failures (NOWPayments, chains, wallets).
- Our total liability for a claim is capped at the fees you paid us for Rampeat in the 3 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded: fraud, personal injury caused by us, or non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (if they apply to you).
If you are a New Zealand consumer as defined in the CGA, you may have rights we cannot contract out of. If you are an Australian consumer as defined in the ACL, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. For major failures you may be entitled to a refund; for other failures, to a repair or replacement.
US customers: some states do not allow limits on implied warranties. In those states our limits apply only as far as the law allows.
12. Indemnity
You will cover us for claims that come from your content, your invoices, your tax filings, or your misuse of the service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, except that:
- If you are in Australia, nothing removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- If you are in New Zealand, nothing removes rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
- If a US law that cannot be waived applies to you, that law still applies.
We both try to resolve disputes by email first.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes go to the account email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
